In June 2023, the average preserved sweet corn import price amounted to $2,618 per ton, growing by 6.1% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 35% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,795 per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($3,605 per ton), while the price for India ($847 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average preserved sweet corn export price amounted to $1,962 per ton, falling by -9.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a slight contraction.
