Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Denmark (CIF) - 2023

In June 2023, the average preserved sweet corn import price amounted to $2,618 per ton, growing by 6.1% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +3.0%. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 35% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,795 per ton. From February 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($3,605 per ton), while the price for India ($847 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Denmark (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average preserved sweet corn export price amounted to $1,962 per ton, falling by -9.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a slight contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average export price increased by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $2,199 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($27,568 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($1,590 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+30.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Preserved Sweet Corn Imports in Denmark

In 2022, overseas purchases of sweet corn prepared or preserved decreased by -12.2% to 6.4K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, imports saw a slight decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 10% against the previous year.

In value terms, preserved sweet corn imports shrank notably to $13M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.8% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 19%.
