In July 2023, the average polyurethanes import price amounted to $4,615 per ton, dropping by -3.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5,171 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was China ($5,556 per ton), while the price for South Korea ($2,896 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greece (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average polyurethanes export price stood at $5,419 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -14.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a mild decline.
