Pasta Products Price in Iran (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average pasta products export price amounted to $844 per ton, leveling off at the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.5%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 an increase of 25%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($4,915 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($315 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Lebanon (+13.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pasta Products Price in Iran (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average pasta products import price amounted to $1,222 per ton, surging by 22% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 42%. The import price peaked at $1,875 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($2,160 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($449 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Oman (+35.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Pasta Products Exports in Iran
In 2022, the amount of dried, undried and frozen pasta and pasta products exported from Iran expanded modestly to 1.1K tons, increasing by 2.2% against 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports saw significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when exports increased by 130% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 1.2K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, pasta products exports expanded slightly to $955K in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a significant increase. Pasta Products Imports in Iran
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in supplies from abroad of dried, undried and frozen pasta and pasta products, when their volume decreased by -1.5% to 63 tons. In general, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 2.9% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 64 tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, pasta products imports skyrocketed to $77K in 2022.
