The average palm kernel oil import price stood at $1,589 per ton in September 2023, growing by 4.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 60% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,964 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
