Odoriferous Substance Mixture Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average odoriferous substance mixture import price stood at $21,933 per ton in January 2022, increasing by 4.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2021 an increase of 8.9% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $22,680 per ton in January 2021; however, from February 2021 to January 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was the United States ($77,882 per ton), while the price for Hungary ($7,946 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Odoriferous Substance Mixture Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average odoriferous substance mixture export price stood at $16,477 per ton in January 2022, with an increase of 15% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to January 2022, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.7%. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2021 when the average export price increased by 27% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $16,810 per ton. From August 2021 to January 2022, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In January 2022, the country with the highest price was Germany ($29,628 per ton), while the average price for exports to Tajikistan ($4,240 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+6.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Odoriferous Substance Mixture Imports in Russia
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of mixtures of odoriferous substances and their preparations decreased by -2% to 37K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 8.2%.
In value terms, odoriferous substance mixture imports fell to $747M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 18% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $809M, and then dropped in the following year.
