The average nucleic acids import price stood at $30,506 per ton in 2022, growing by 21% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight contraction. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $33,590 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($53,964 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($3,599 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Nucleic Acids Price in India (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average nucleic acids export price amounted to $65,312 per ton, waning by -11.4% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 57% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $94,207 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Brazil ($135,733 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($13,879 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+20.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Nucleic Acids Imports in India
After three years of growth, supplies from abroad of nucleic acids and their salts decreased by -12.6% to 35K tons in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +13.0% over the last three years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 56% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
