The average non-liquid margarine import price stood at $2,260 per ton in May 2023, dropping by -10% against the previous month. Over the period from May 2022 to May 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2023 when the average import price increased by 20% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $2,510 per ton, and then reduced in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In May 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($2,457 per ton) and Belgium ($2,247 per ton), while the price for Poland ($2,055 per ton) and Italy ($2,067 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From May 2022 to May 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Non-Liquid Margarine Imports in Austria
