The average mica; waste import price stood at $382 per ton in 2022, growing by 6.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a deep contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 26%. The import price peaked at $758 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for India.
