In 2022, the average metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured import price amounted to $814,817 per ton, dropping by -4.9% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 66%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,172,588 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($12,048,603 per ton), while the price for the UK ($677,590 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2013 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+41.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured export price amounted to $321,000 per ton, dropping by -40.8% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, recorded a modest increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by 118% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,243,327 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Norway amounted to +8.6% per year.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of metals; rhodium, semi-manufactureds decreased by -51.4% to 369 kg for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 1,334% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 760 kg, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured imports contracted dramatically to $301K in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 949% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $651K, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

For the third year in a row, Turkey recorded decline in shipments abroad of metals; rhodium, semi-manufactureds, which decreased by -75% to 1 kg in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a dramatic descent. The smallest decline of -14.3% was in 2020.

In value terms, metals; rhodium, semi-manufactured exports declined notably to $321 in 2022. In general, exports recorded a sharp descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 55%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $3.7K. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.
