Liquefied Propane Price in the Philippines (CIF) - 2023

The average liquefied propane import price stood at $467 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price saw a noticeable slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 26% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $835 per ton. From March 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Qatar ($498 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($440 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Angola (0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average liquefied propane export price stood at $400 per ton in 2022, stabilizing at the previous year. In general, the export price recorded a abrupt contraction. The export price peaked at $685 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Australia.
