Liquefied Propane Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022

In January 2022, the average liquefied propane export price amounted to $697 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. In general, export price indicated a strong increase from January 2021 to January 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +6.5% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on January 2022 figures, liquefied propane export price increased by +113.7% against January 2021 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2021 an increase of 18% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $704 per ton, leveling off in the following month.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In January 2022, the highest price was recorded for prices to Albania ($788 per ton) and Finland ($780 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($649 per ton) and Ukraine ($669 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $320 per ton, rising by 8.6% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a abrupt downturn. The import price peaked at $5,057 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for China.
