In August 2023, the average import price for copper plates, sheets and strips amounted to $12,574 per ton, leveling off at the previous month. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Taiwan (Chinese) (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $16,201 per ton. From February 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Taiwan (Chinese) ($25,060 per ton), while the average price for exports to China stood at $13,384 per ton.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Taiwan (Chinese) (+8.2%).
