Liquefied Propane Price in Italy (CIF) - 2023

In August 2023, the average liquefied propane import price amounted to $540 per ton, increasing by 10% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, saw a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 11% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $724 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from France ($604 per ton) and Algeria ($532 per ton), while the price for Libya ($522 per ton) and Egypt ($523 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
