Liquefied Propane Price in Canada (FOB) - 2023

In September 2023, the average liquefied propane export price amounted to $218 per ton, dropping by -6.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a pronounced curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average export price increased by 7.2% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $378 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($264 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($198 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From February 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for the United States.
