The average liquefied butanes export price stood at $612 per ton in April 2021, surging by 5.3% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to April 2021, it increased at an average monthly rate of +14.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2021 an increase of 22% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in April 2021.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Ukraine.

From January 2021 to April 2021, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Ukraine amounted to +13.9% per month.

In April 2021, the average liquefied butanes import price amounted to $478 per ton, picking up by 10% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a precipitous slump. The import price peaked at $1,000 per ton in January 2021; however, from February 2021 to April 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2021, the country with the highest price was Poland ($1,050 per ton), while the price for Russia stood at $406 per ton.

From January 2021 to April 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+2.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Liquefied Butanes Exports in Belarus

In 2022, approx. 195K tons of liquefied butaneses were exported from Belarus; with a decrease of -20.8% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports showed a abrupt contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 71%.

In value terms, liquefied butanes exports reduced remarkably to $93M in 2022. In general, exports showed a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 138% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $131M, and then dropped dramatically in the following year.
