Lead Price in Uzbekistan (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average lead export price amounted to $1,691 per ton, waning by -26.6% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a perceptible expansion from 2017 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% over the last five-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, lead export price increased by +23.9% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 42% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $2,305 per ton, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Germany ($1,766 per ton) and Turkey ($1,692 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan ($1,541 per ton) and Latvia ($1,555 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Lead Price in Uzbekistan (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average lead import price amounted to $2,355 per ton, rising by 4.7% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average import price increased by 8.2%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,014 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($3,628 per ton), while the price for China ($1,002 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2017 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+7.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Lead Exports in Uzbekistan

In 2022, overseas shipments of lead decreased by -29.5% to 3.8K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 48%.

In value terms, lead exports dropped dramatically to $6.5M in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 76%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $13M, and then dropped sharply in the following year.

Lead Imports in Uzbekistan

For the third consecutive year, Uzbekistan recorded decline in supplies from abroad of lead, which decreased by -56.3% to 55 tons in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a significant decrease. The smallest decline of -14.7% was in 2020.

In value terms, lead imports contracted dramatically to $129K in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a dramatic curtailment. The smallest decline of -27.3% was in 2020.
