Lead Price in Peru (FOB) - 2021

In March 2020, the average lead export price amounted to $1,964 per ton, approximately mirroring the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price peaked at $1,968 per ton in January 2020; afterwards, it flattened through to March 2020.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In March 2020, the country with the highest price was the United States ($1,972 per ton), while the average price for exports to Colombia amounted to $1,870 per ton.

From January 2020 to March 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United States (+0.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Lead Price in Peru (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average lead import price amounted to $1,976 per ton, shrinking by -7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 an increase of 24%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,500 per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,384 per ton), while the price for Spain ($1,547 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Russia (+1.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Lead Exports in Peru

In 2022, exports of lead from Peru shrank to 6.4K tons, which is down by -11.1% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, exports recorded a abrupt decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 29% against the previous year.
