Lead Price in Croatia (FOB) - 2023
In July 2023, the average lead export price amounted to $2,522 per ton, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. Over the last twelve-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.2%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 an increase of 7.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $2,563 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Hungary ($2,563 per ton) and Serbia ($2,546 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($2,452 per ton) and Poland ($2,507 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hungary (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Lead Price in Croatia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average lead import price amounted to $2,691 per ton, with a decrease of -25.7% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated pronounced growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 35%. The import price peaked at $3,625 per ton in 2021, and then declined notably in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Austria ($2,970 per ton), while the price for Slovenia stood at $2,665 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+7.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Lead Exports in Croatia
In 2022, exports of lead from Croatia contracted to 4.8K tons, falling by -10% on the year before. Overall, exports recorded a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 0.4%.
In value terms, lead exports reduced to $11M in 2022. In general, exports recorded a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 17%.
