LCDs and Plasmas Price in the Netherlands (FOB) - 2022
The average LCDs and plasmas export price stood at $238 per unit in 2022, waning by -7.3% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, LCDs and plasmas export price decreased by -22.8% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average export price increased by 24% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $308 per unit in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was China ($343 per unit), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($137 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+9.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
LCDs and Plasmas Price in the Netherlands (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average LCDs and plasmas import price amounted to $158 per unit, with an increase of 4.5% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 an increase of 26% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $193 per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($454 per unit), while the price for Hong Kong SAR ($44 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+7.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
LCDs and Plasmas Exports in the Netherlands
After three years of growth, shipments abroad of flat panel video monitor, lcd or plasma decreased by -20.1% to 309K units in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a remarkable increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.1% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +41.1% against 2019 indices. Over the period under review, total exports indicated a strong increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.3% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 60%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $99M in 2021, and then contracted notably in the following year.
