The average lamps; arc-lamps import price stood at $24 per unit in 2022, increasing by 15% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a mild slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when the average import price increased by 28%. The import price peaked at $47 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($70 per unit), while the price for China ($3.4 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average lamps; arc-lamps export price amounted to $275 per unit, surging by 2.8% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.5%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $301 per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was France ($468 per unit), while the average price for exports to Canada ($97 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
