The average internal combustion engines export price stood at $8,154 per unit in July 2023, increasing by 3.6% against the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.1%. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 an increase of 11% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure in July 2023.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($19,187 per unit), while the average price for exports to Austria ($4,745 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average internal combustion engines import price amounted to $8,068 per unit, almost unchanged from the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 14% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $8,786 per unit; afterwards, it flattened through to July 2023.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Austria ($14,353 per unit), while the price for Brazil ($4,928 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
