Insulating Fittings Price in China (FOB) - 2023
In June 2023, the average insulating fittings export price amounted to $5,199 per ton, waning by -8.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price showed a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 when the average export price increased by 66% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $9,759 per ton. From March 2023 to June 2023, the the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($11,798 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Dominican Republic ($799 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Fittings Price in China (CIF) - 2023
The average insulating fittings import price stood at $68,454 per ton in June 2023, which is down by -18.1% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in February 2023 when the average import price increased by 51% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $120K per ton. From March 2023 to June 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($224K per ton), while the price for France ($7,450 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+10.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulating Fittings Exports in China
In 2022, the amount of insulating fittings for electrical purposes exported from China soared to 55K tons, with an increase of 39% on the previous year. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 45% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, insulating fittings exports skyrocketed to $397M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.9% over the last three-year period.
