Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Switzerland (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average insulated coaxial cable import price amounted to $22,822 per ton, declining by -6.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 27% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $31,230 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($72,608 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($8,642 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+10.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Price in Switzerland (FOB) - 2023
The average insulated coaxial cable export price stood at $95,697 per ton in July 2023, with a decrease of -34% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated a modest expansion from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.7% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, insulated coaxial cable export price decreased by -34.0% against June 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 54% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $145K per ton in June 2023, and then reduced rapidly in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($368K per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany ($33,942 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Italy (+3.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Insulated Coaxial Cable Imports in Switzerland
In 2022, purchases abroad of insulated coaxial cables decreased by -19.4% to 2.6K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.6% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +24.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 28% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 3.3K tons, and then reduced sharply in the following year.
In value terms, insulated coaxial cable imports fell rapidly to $53M in 2022. Overall, imports showed a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 20%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $65M, and then shrank notably in the following year.
