Ice Cream Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
In September 2022, the average ice cream import price amounted to $4,757 per ton, picking up by 4% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in July 2022 an increase of 27% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $6,797 per ton in May 2022; however, from June 2022 to September 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was France ($23,687 per ton), while the price for Malaysia ($2,553 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+1.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Ice Cream Price in Singapore (FOB) - 2022
The average ice cream export price stood at $4,973 per ton in September 2022, rising by 10% against the previous month. Over the period under review, export price indicated moderate growth from January 2022 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.5% over the last eight months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, ice cream export price increased by +11.6% against July 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in April 2022 when the average export price increased by 34% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $6,561 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to September 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($26,086 per ton), while the average price for exports to Seychelles ($811 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2022 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+6.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the amount of ice cream imported into Singapore rose rapidly to 18K tons, picking up by 12% compared with the year before. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
