The average hydrogen chloride export price stood at $225 per ton in July 2023, surging by 11% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated buoyant growth from July 2022 to July 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +9.0% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on July 2023 figures, hydrogen chloride export price increased by +36.0% against April 2023 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2022 when the average export price increased by 49% against the previous month. The export price peaked in July 2023.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Denmark ($266 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($95.0 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
