Hand Saws Price in Thailand (FOB) - 2023
The average hand saws export price stood at $11,264 per ton in September 2023, surging by 4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 12% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $12,238 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Australia ($25,665 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($5,922 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (+1.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average hand saws import price amounted to $6,945 per ton, remaining constant against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 20% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $11,696 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($44,679 per ton), while the price for Singapore ($3,481 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+21.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Hand Saws Exports in Thailand
In 2022, shipments abroad of hand sawses decreased by -9.6% to 8.3K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. In general, exports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 104% against the previous year.
In value terms, hand saws exports declined to $91M in 2022. Over the period under review, total exports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +14.6% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +50.5% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 29%.

Hand Saws Imports in Thailand
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of hand sawses decreased by -8.2% to 7.2K tons in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +17.5% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +62.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 43% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 7.9K tons, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, hand saws imports contracted to $50M in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +5.6% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 34%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $55M, and then fell in the following year.
