Gypsum and Anhydrite Price in Italy (FOB) - 2022
The average gypsum and anhydrite export price stood at $17 per ton in 2022, surging by 32% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the average export price increased by 50%. The export price peaked at $81 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($51 per ton), while the average price for exports to Spain ($5.3 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (-4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Gypsum and Anhydrite Price in Italy (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average gypsum and anhydrite import price amounted to $150 per ton, dropping by -15.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price showed a pronounced reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 an increase of 58% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $318 per ton. From 2014 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
