Frozen Vegetable Price in Myanmar (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average frozen vegetable export price amounted to $1,989 per ton, surging by 9.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 196% against the previous year. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($2,214 per ton), while the average price for exports to Thailand ($170 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Vietnam (+79.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Vegetable Price in Myanmar (CIF) - 2022
The average frozen vegetable import price stood at $1,066 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -21.7% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 38% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $1,698 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($1,826 per ton), while the price for India ($797 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Australia (+29.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Vegetable Exports in Myanmar
In 2022, frozen vegetable exports from Myanmar skyrocketed to 1.1K tons, rising by 16% on 2021. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 34% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 1.5K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.
