Frozen Sweet Corn Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022
The average frozen sweet corn import price stood at $2,483 per ton in September 2022, surging by 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated resilient growth from September 2021 to September 2022: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +5.0% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on September 2022 figures, frozen sweet corn import price decreased by -3.8% against May 2022 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2022 an increase of 40% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,581 per ton. From June 2022 to September 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2022, the country with the highest price was New Zealand ($4,307 per ton), while the price for China ($1,671 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2021 to September 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Sweet Corn Price in Singapore (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average frozen sweet corn export price amounted to $1,354 per ton, reducing by -9.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price continues to indicate a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 an increase of 24%. The export price peaked at $1,862 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($5,050 per ton), while the average price for exports to Indonesia ($1,017 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia (+11.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Frozen Sweet Corn Imports in Singapore
In 2022, purchases abroad of frozen sweet corn decreased by -39.1% to 1.7K tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, imports saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 71%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 3K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, frozen sweet corn imports fell markedly to $2.6M in 2022. In general, imports recorded a mild reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 37% against the previous year.

Frozen Sweet Corn Exports in Singapore
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of frozen sweet corn, when their volume decreased by -24.5% to 217 tons. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 62% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 287 tons, and then contracted dramatically in the following year.
In value terms, frozen sweet corn exports contracted markedly to $294K in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 68% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $430K, and then shrank sharply in the following year.
