Frozen Strawberries Price in Latvia (CIF) - 2023
In September 2023, the average frozen strawberries import price amounted to $1,947 per ton, shrinking by -29.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in October 2022 when the average import price increased by 73% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $3,324 per ton. From November 2022 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Estonia ($2,756 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($1,498 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+10.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
