The average frozen strawberries export price stood at $527 per ton in 2022, which is down by -12.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a abrupt downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when the average export price increased by 63%. The export price peaked at $2,644 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Rwanda ($542 per ton), while the average price for exports to Uganda totaled $527 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Rwanda (-5.8%).
