In July 2023, the average frozen strawberries import price amounted to $1,046 per ton, increasing by 17% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced setback. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $1,486 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Chile ($1,280 per ton), while the price for Egypt stood at $1,000 per ton.
