In September 2023, the average frozen chicken cut export price amounted to $1,750 per ton, waning by -5% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a slight contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 an increase of 3% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,095 per ton in September 2022; however, from October 2022 to September 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($2,334 per ton), while the average price for exports to South Africa ($513 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
