The average flakes; of potatoes export price stood at $1,938 per ton in August 2023, shrinking by -5.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average export price increased by 870% month-to-month. The export price peaked at $2,043 per ton in July 2023, and then shrank in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Oman ($3,778 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Czech Republic ($1,143 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Czech Republic (+52.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,913 per ton), while the price for France ($662 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+5.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
