Ferro-Molybdenum Price in India (CIF) - 2023
The average ferro-molybdenum import price stood at $32,936 per ton in July 2023, falling by -2.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, enjoyed a mild expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 an increase of 33% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $61,372 per ton. From April 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($34,728 per ton), while the price for China ($26,045 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United Arab Emirates (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Ferro-Molybdenum Price in India (FOB) - 2023
The average ferro-molybdenum export price stood at $31,315 per ton in July 2023, stabilizing at the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, posted a modest expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 27% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $50,238 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to July 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major foreign markets. In July 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Saudi Arabia ($40,404 per ton) and the United Arab Emirates ($34,251 per ton), while the average price for exports to China ($30,628 per ton) and Chile ($31,278 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+8.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Ferro-Molybdenum Imports in India
In 2022, the amount of ferro-molybdenum imported into India surged to 4.2K tons, rising by 49% on the previous year. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +20.2% over the last three-year period.
