In June 2023, the average ferro-alloys; ferro-vanadium export price amounted to $24,591 per ton, declining by -4.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a mild decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in March 2023 an increase of 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $30,676 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In June 2023, the countries with the highest prices were Canada ($26,877 per ton) and Iran ($26,500 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($23,835 per ton) and Japan ($24,364 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Korea (-1.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, the import price saw a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in September 2022 when the average import price increased by 63% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $45,584 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($39,864 per ton), while the price for Austria totaled $19,062 per ton.
