Dried Vegetables Price in Singapore (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average dried vegetables import price amounted to $3,227 per ton, waning by -3.1% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 46%. The import price peaked at $4,293 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($7,629 per ton), while the price for Jordan ($464 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+2.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dried Vegetables Price in Singapore (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average dried vegetables export price amounted to $4,352 per ton, dropping by -15% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated perceptible growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.1% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dried vegetables export price increased by +50.9% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 77% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $5,296 per ton in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Brunei Darussalam ($27,442 per ton), while the average price for exports to Brazil ($1,857 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Africa (+11.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Dried Vegetables Imports in Singapore

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas purchases of dried vegetables and mixtures of vegetables, when their volume decreased by -16.4% to 2K tons. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2019 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +12.2% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +41.1% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 47% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 2.4K tons, and then declined rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, dried vegetables imports declined sharply to $6.5M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated a buoyant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +10.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +34.6% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by 61%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $8M, and then fell markedly in the following year.
