Dried Grapes Price in Austria (CIF) - 2023
The average dried grapes import price stood at $2,459 per ton in August 2023, surging by 2.1% against the previous month. Over the period from August 2022 to August 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 19% against the previous month. The import price peaked in August 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Luxembourg ($5,141 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($2,076 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+1.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Grapes Price in Austria (FOB) - 2023
In August 2023, the average dried grapes export price amounted to $3,537 per ton, waning by -8.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in November 2022 an increase of 28% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $3,904 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($3,782 per ton), while the average price for exports to Italy ($2,402 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Grapes Imports in Austria
In 2022, overseas purchases of dried grapes decreased by -1.5% to 7.6K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 5.6% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of 8.3K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, dried grapes imports declined to $16M in 2022. In general, imports saw a pronounced slump.
