The average dried apricot import price stood at $6,752 per ton in 2022, increasing by 30% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dried apricot import price increased by +99.5% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average import price increased by 39%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Germany ($8,712 per ton) and Italy ($8,244 per ton), while the price for France ($6,257 per ton) and Turkey ($6,384 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovakia (+46.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
