Dried Apricot Price in Russia (CIF) - 2022
The average dried apricot import price stood at $3,519 per ton in January 2022, growing by 16% against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in September 2021 an increase of 98% month-to-month. The import price peaked in January 2022.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Uzbekistan ($3,917 per ton), while the price for Afghanistan ($2,450 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to January 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+9.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Dried Apricot Price in Russia (FOB) - 2022
The average dried apricot export price stood at $1,157 per ton in 2022, falling by -23.2% against the previous year. Overall, the export price saw a abrupt decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the average export price increased by 8.6% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,147 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Kazakhstan ($1,646 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($432 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Turkey (-5.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Dried Apricot Imports in Russia
In 2022, supplies from abroad of dried apricots was finally on the rise to reach 11K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a deep contraction.
In value terms, dried apricot imports reduced to $19M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a mild decline. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 15% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $21M, and then dropped in the following year.

Dried Apricot Exports in Russia
For the fourth year in a row, Russia recorded growth in overseas shipments of dried apricots, which increased by 17% to 710 tons in 2022. In general, exports posted significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 276%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
In value terms, dried apricot exports shrank to $822K in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 218%.
