In 2022, the average dried apricot import price amounted to $5,613 per ton, jumping by 16% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +7.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, dried apricot import price increased by +65.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 82% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($8,097 per ton), while the price for Slovakia ($5,017 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+7.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when the average export price increased by 57% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the countries with the highest prices were Romania ($8,094 per ton) and Croatia ($7,992 per ton), while the average price for exports to Serbia ($6,833 per ton) and North Macedonia ($6,936 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to North Macedonia (+12.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
