Domestic Coffee Machine Price in Uganda (CIF) - 2022

In 2022, the average domestic coffee machine import price amounted to $9 per unit, rising by 20% against the previous year. Overall, the import price recorded modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 69% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $15 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($52 per unit), while the price for China ($2.5 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Domestic Coffee Machine Price in Uganda (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average domestic coffee machine export price amounted to $83 per unit, growing by 61% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a strong increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 82%. The export price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ethiopia ($322 per unit), while the average price for exports to Rwanda ($1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ethiopia (+35.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Domestic Coffee Machine Imports in Uganda

In 2022, approx. 25K units of domestic electric coffee or tea makers were imported into Uganda; reducing by -22.8% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports faced a abrupt downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 31% against the previous year. Imports peaked at 48K units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, domestic coffee machine imports reduced to $229K in 2022. In general, imports recorded a abrupt decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $338K in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Domestic Coffee Machine Exports in Uganda

In 2022, approx. 23 units of domestic electric coffee or tea makers were exported from Uganda; shrinking by -39.5% against the year before. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a sharp slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 31%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at 50 units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, domestic coffee machine exports contracted slightly to $1.9K in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.5% over the period from 2019 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by 5.4% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $1.9K in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.
