Dithionites and Sulphoxylates Price in India (FOB) - 2023
In September 2023, the average dithionites and sulphoxylates export price amounted to $2,101 per ton, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 8.5% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the peak figure at $2,446 per ton in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to September 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Spain ($2,729 per ton), while the average price for exports to Guatemala ($981 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Indonesia (+0.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average dithionites and sulphoxylates import price stood at $1,055 per ton in September 2023, therefore, remained relatively stable against the previous month. Overall, the import price showed a mild decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in May 2023 an increase of 43% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $1,505 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to September 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($1,320 per ton), while the price for China amounted to $777 per ton.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Dithionites and Sulphoxylates Exports in India
In 2022, dithionites and sulphoxylates exports from India reduced markedly to 24K tons, with a decrease of -18.3% compared with 2021. In general, exports recorded a pronounced descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 49%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of 29K tons, and then shrank notably in the following year.
