Cyclic Hydrocarbons Price in the Czech Republic (FOB) - 2022
The average cyclic hydrocarbons export price stood at $1,259 per ton in 2022, surging by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the average export price increased by 43%. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $1,342 per ton in 2013; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($1,260 per ton), while the average price for exports to Germany amounted to $1,221 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+0.3%).
Cyclic Hydrocarbons Price in the Czech Republic (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average cyclic hydrocarbons import price amounted to $1,210 per ton, rising by 12% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 60% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $1,666 per ton in July 2022; however, from August 2022 to July 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($5,781 per ton), while the price for Serbia ($831 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
Cyclic Hydrocarbons Exports in the Czech Republic
In 2022, cyclic hydrocarbons exports from the Czech Republic dropped to 159K tons, waning by -10.3% on the previous year. Over the period under review, exports saw a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 64% against the previous year.
In value terms, cyclic hydrocarbons exports totaled $200M in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 134%. In 2022, the amount of cyclic hydrocarbons imported into the Czech Republic shrank dramatically to 112K tons, which is down by -26.5% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports saw a abrupt downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 71% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 152K tons, and then dropped markedly in the following year.
