Cyclic Hydrocarbons Price in Belarus (CIF) - 2022
In April 2021, the average cyclic hydrocarbons import price amounted to $952 per ton, surging by 9.9% against the previous month. Over the period from January 2021 to April 2021, it increased at an average monthly rate of +9.8%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in March 2021 when the average import price increased by 18% m-o-m. The import price peaked in April 2021.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2021, the highest price was recorded for prices from Russia ($984 per ton) and Ukraine ($942 per ton), while the price for Kazakhstan ($811 per ton) and Slovakia ($822 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Ukraine (+14.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Cyclic Hydrocarbons Price in Belarus (FOB) - 2022
The average cyclic hydrocarbons export price stood at $893 per ton in April 2021, rising by 7.7% against the previous month. Over the last three-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +4.6%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Russia.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Russia amounted to +3.3% per month.
Cyclic Hydrocarbons Imports in Belarus
After three years of growth, overseas purchases of cyclic hydrocarbons decreased by -1.8% to 47K tons in 2022. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.4% from 2019 to 2022; the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 22% against the previous year.
In value terms, cyclic hydrocarbons imports shrank remarkably to $37M in 2022. Overall, total imports indicated mild growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +26.9% against 2020 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak of $45M, and then shrank notably in the following year.
