Currant and Gooseberry Price in the United States (CIF) - 2023
The average currant and gooseberry import price stood at $4,703 per ton in September 2023, leveling off at the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a mild downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 when the average import price increased by 1.6% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $5,207 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Colombia.
From December 2022 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Colombia amounted to +0.2% per month.

In 2022, the average currant and gooseberry export price amounted to $1,836 per ton, which is down by -5.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 37% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,209 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices failed to regain momentum.
