In 2022, the average copra import price amounted to $3,414 per ton, surging by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 88% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $5,365 per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Copra Imports in Russia

After three years of growth, purchases abroad of copras decreased by -21.8% to 1.8 tons in 2022. Overall, imports, however, posted buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 77% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of 2.4 tons, and then shrank remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, copra imports declined to $6.3K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern.
