Copper Foil Price in Germany (FOB) - 2023
The average copper foil export price stood at $21,551 per ton in July 2023, declining by -4.1% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 15% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $26,255 per ton. From June 2023 to July 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was China ($38,729 per ton), while the average price for exports to Egypt ($11,571 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+6.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average copper foil import price amounted to $19,514 per ton, declining by -9.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in December 2022 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $21,532 per ton in June 2023, and then contracted in the following month.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was the United States ($33,612 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($10,251 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+3.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Copper Foil Exports in Germany
In 2022, the amount of copper foil exported from Germany plummeted to 9.6K tons, shrinking by -18.7% against the year before. Overall, exports recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 4.9% against the previous year.
In value terms, copper foil exports reduced to $175M in 2022.
