Concrete Reinforcing Bar Price in India (FOB) - 2022
In 2022, the average concrete reinforcing bar export price amounted to $681 per ton, growing by 3.8% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a pronounced downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 55%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $987 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($976 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bangladesh ($467 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Hong Kong SAR (+5.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
Concrete Reinforcing Bar Price in India (CIF) - 2023
The average concrete reinforcing bar import price stood at $826 per ton in July 2023, with an increase of 6.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2022 when the average import price increased by 17% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $1,239 per ton. From September 2022 to July 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Japan ($1,279 per ton), while the price for China ($781 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (+0.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
Concrete Reinforcing Bar Exports in India
After three years of growth, overseas shipments of concrete reinforcing bars decreased by -73.7% to 230K tons in 2022. Overall, exports continue to indicate a abrupt setback.
