Coffee Substitutes Price in Lithuania (CIF) - 2022

The average coffee substitutes import price stood at $22,555 per ton in 2022, surging by 2.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 111%. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($34,328 per ton), while the price for Latvia ($5,525 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+18.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Coffee Substitutes Price in Lithuania (FOB) - 2022

In 2022, the average coffee substitutes export price amounted to $14,613 per ton, reducing by -43.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a notable expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 195%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $25,870 per ton in 2021, and then shrank sharply in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($36,180 per ton), while the average price for exports to Estonia ($7,485 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+25.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Coffee Substitutes Imports in Lithuania

For the fourth consecutive year, Lithuania recorded growth in overseas purchases of coffee substitutes containing coffee, which increased by 2.7% to 191 tons in 2022. Overall, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 198% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, coffee substitutes imports stood at $4.3M in 2022. In general, imports showed significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 258% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
